After the Dallas Frisco TX storms

It’s a beautiful day here in Frisco TX. The thunder storms and tornadoes that hit Arlington (40 miles southwest of Frisco) and Forney (45 miles southeast of Frisco) on April 3rd 2012 are behind us.

It was a disastrous Tuesday afternoon. Tornado sirens were going off for over an hour here in Frisco TX. Many residents seek cover as they keep an eye out for the path of the storm and tornadoes.

Now that it is behind us, and the news media are sharing videos of the disaster. Homes torn apart, vehicles flying in the sky, and stories about how families were protecting each other in bathrooms and closets.

It is such good news that we did not have any fatalities in the storms and tornadoes. Thank God!!! He is indeed good.

This Weather Week in Frisco TX – 2011

Reminiscing 2011′s Frisco TX Winter

It’s exactly this week in Frisco and Dallas TX last year when the area was getting ready to welcome SuperBowl XLV. It’s also the week the area was dumped with unseasonably snow that left the area stranded for 4 days.

We were stuck in our Frisco TX homes, finding own ways to entertain ourselves as we played in the snow.

No other times since my family and I moved to Frisco TX in 2000, that we’ve had so much snow.

2011 brought 2 rounds of snow. Once at the end of January and once in early February.

After last year’s Frisco TX winter, I’m not complaining about the warm winter we’ve been having this year.

We are in the 70s this week (late January/ early February 2012). Many Frisco TX homeowners are spending more time this Winter working on long-due exterior maintenance as well as getting an early start to Spring landscaping duties.

Enjoy these photos!!!

Light December Flurries in Frisco TX

Who would have imagine that here in Frisco TX, we would have light snow flurries in early December? Don’t forget we spent Thanksgiving in shorts and T-shirts just 2 weeks ago. This past Summer, we survived 68 days of over 100 degree weather days, the highest over 110 degrees.

They say here in Frisco TX, if you don’t like the weather, just wait 5 minutes. It will change.

The low is expected to be 26 degrees and yet again, Frisco TX homeowners are advised to make sure you keep your exterior faucets covered and the sprinkler system turned off. The exterior faucet covers were for sale at 98 cents at Home Depot just the other day. So, remember to purchase it before you get home. When the sprinkler system busts, it will be an expensive event.

Signing off with Burrrrrr from Frisco TX.
