Frisco’s Farmers Market

If you are looking for fresh home grown food, Frisco Farmers Market is where you want to head to every Saturday morning at the Frisco Square. The Farmers Market offers local farmers a place to sell their fresh produce. The farmers market runs from May 5th, 2012 to October 20th, 2012.

The Frisco Farmers Market started in 2007 by the Frisco Noon Lion Club benefiting the community. It has continue to grow in popularity. Local growers offer fruits such as juicy melons, peaches, tomatoes, fresh corn a lot more.Also offered are baked breads, meat from local ranchers, honey, arts and crafts, and various other products.

The market allows consumers to have access to locally grown, farm fresh produce, enables farmers the opportunity to develop a personal relationship with their customers, and cultivate consumer loyalty with the farmers who grow the produce.

What’s Coming to Frisco Texas?

Frisco TX In N OutIn 2011, the new businesses opening in Frisco TX includes Costco, Cane’s Chicken Fingers, Whataburger, O’Reilly Auto Parts, In-And-Out Burger and many others. Development is still progressing strong in Frisco TX. More businesses are calling Frisco TX home including:

  • Children’s Lighthouse Day Care on Eldorado Parkway and Hillcrest.
  • Wendy’s Restaurant opened on Eldorado Parkway right by Whataburger and Costco.
  • McDonald’s on Eldorado Parkway by Costco.
  • Forest Park Medical Center is in progress on Main St and Dallas North Tollway.
  • Dairy Queen to be located on the west side of Teel just south of Main Street.
  • A Chicken Express and a Braum’s are proposed on the north side of Main Street, west of Teel Parkway.
  • Del Taco restaurant with drive-through access is proposed in front of the Walmart on Preston Road, just north of Hickory St.
  • A 241-unit apartment complex (Old Hickory Square) is under construction south of Hickory St, south of Walmart.
  • 100,000 st ft office building will start to house game maker Gearbox Software bringing 250 jobs to Frisco TX.
  • Preliminary site plan for the NE corner of Eldorado Parkway and the DNT for a convenience store with gas pumps, two restaurants with drive-through windows, an office building and retail/ restaurant buildings is under review.

Frisco is a city in progress and there are lots of new development currently under construction and in planning here. The City of Frisco truly is a favorable place to do business.

Frisco TX Dog Park – Grand OPENING!

Today, is the GRAND OPENING FOR Frisco’s ‘RUFF RANGE’ Dog Park in Frisco TX. Don’t miss the fun today, Oct 2nd from 2 pm to 5 pm. There will be lots of fun with vendors, musics, and goody bags. The park is located at BF Phillips Community Park which is 3335 4th Army Memorial. The main intersection is at Teel and Lebanon.

Don’t worry about parking, there will be free shuttle service from B.F. Phillips Park parking to the dog park. Shuttle busses will run from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Click here to view parking and shuttle arrangement.

Come out with the family and your furry friend and enjoy the day at the park.

Authentic Potstickers and Boba Tea restaurant in Frisco TX

You can get homemade-style, authentic Potsticks and Boba Tea in Frisco TX now!!!! Recently, my good friend, Ada Rockerfeller and her family opened a family-style, authentic Chinese restaurant in Frisco TX serving homemade-style and made-from-scratch food.

The menu includes potstickers (chicken, pork, beef and seafood), rice plates (beef, pork, chicken, seafood, vegeterian) as well as noodles (pork, beef, spicy lover beef, seafood, wonton). There is also a huge selection of appetizers and desserts. Potstickers offer kid’s menu as well.

Besides good food, Potstickers offer a large variety of drinks. From slushes, to smoothies as well as pearl flavored teas.

When you read the Urbanspoon and Yelp reviews, you will find that my friend, Ada Rockerfeller is very friendly, which makes the dining experience that much more enjoyable.

If you do stop by Potstickers as a result of reading this blog, tell Ada you read it on Loreena’s blog. I dine in Ada’s restaurant at least once a week.

Frisco Square Cinemark now opens

Frisco TX’s new Cinemark 12-movie theater is now open for business. It is located in Frisco Square near Frisco City Hall and Frisco public Library. This is a strategic effort to bring vibrancy to Frisco Square. In addition to the new Cinemark movie theater, Frisco Square offers shopping, retail and restaurants.

The new Frisco TX Cinemark 12-movie theater offers the XD extreme Digital technology. This 12-movie theater is a new design trend of movie theaters across the country with stadium-styled seating, smaller theater rooms, enhanced digital sound and picture quality.

The Frisco TX Cinemark movie theater is located at the South East corner of the North Texas Tollway and Main Street. The Cinemark sign is prominently displayed so you will not missed it. Parking includes spaces in and around the movie theater. Patrons can also park in the Frisco Municipal Parking Garage just south of Frisco City Hall.

This Frisco TX Cinemark 12-movie theater attracts movie-goers who just want to step into a Movie Theater instead of walking through a Mall (Stonebriar Mall) to get to it. Construction began in June 2010 and it is finally completed in time for the Christmas/ Holiday season 2010.

Cinemark Holdings is headquartered in Plano TX, just south of this Frisco TX Cinemark Movie theater location.
