Frisco TX Homes Built For Family

Live, Work & Play in Frisco TX since 2000

My family and I called Frisco Texas home since early 2000.We witnessed Frisco Texas in its small town setting with its flat farm corn lands to now, what we have today: commercial and residential developments. A place everyone wants to come every weekend.

Frisco TX and Its Early Growth

Back in early 2000, about 32,000 residents called Frisco TX home. Today (early 2012), over 123,000 people call Frisco home. That is a whopping almost 400% growth. Frisco TX also made the Top List of the fastest growing city in America in the past decade (2000-2009).

By 2040, Frisco TX projects to have over 280,000 residents call Frisco TX home (at conservative estimated rate of 3% growth per year).

Frisco TX: Geography

Map of Frisco Texas

Frisco TX is located on the north of the Dallas metroplex. It is 25 miles north of Downtown Dallas and about 30 minutes from the DFW airport, about 25 minutes north of Love Field airport in Dallas.

Frisco is neighbored by Little Elm & The Colony on the west side, Plano & Allen on the south, McKinney on the east and Prosper & Celina on the north part of town. If you used “streets” as guidelines, FM 423 on the west, US 380 on the north, Custer on the east and SH 121 on south.

Frisco consists of 69 square miles of land mass – with lots of potential to house even more residents and businesses.

How to get to Frisco TX

There are major freeways to access Frisco TX from anywhere in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

  • State Highway SH 121 (also known as Sam Rayburn tollway) – runs east-west through Frisco TX
  • North Texas Tollway (also known as “Tollway”) runs north-south from Downtown Dallas to Prosper TX (just north of Frisco)
  • US Hwy-380 on the north

The main artery of Frisco TX is Preston Road. It is also known as the Golden Corridor of the Dallas area. Many real estate along Preston Road are typically “higher-end” residential or commercial.

In Frisco TX, Preston Road also separates the east and west-side. On the east, you have the 75035 zip code and on the west, you have the 75033 or 75034 zip codes. In July 2011, Frisco outgrew its zipcodes, hence adding a new zip code, 75033. Any real estate south of Main Street remains 75034 and north of Main Street becomes 75033.
